That didn’t take long.Fifty minutes into Friday’s NBA free agency kickoff restricted free agent Cam Johnson agreed to terms on a contract that keeps him in Brooklyn for the foreseeable future.Johnson and the Nets struck a deal reportedly worth $108 million over the next four seasons, according to ESPN. The Knicks have competition for their top free-agent target. And another one quickly signed elsewhere.Donte DiVincenzo, the 26-year-old guard, scheduled four free-agent meetings with interested teams Thursday and Friday, a source confirmed to the Daily News. Although the hosting teams were unknown as of Thursday evening, the Knicks are considered frontrunners to sign DiVincenzo, who won two NCAA titles alongside Jalen Brunson.Recreating the Villanova backcourt is enticing for all parties. It would be a minor surprise, at this point, if the Knicks finish free agency without a DiVincenzo agreement.Bruce Brown had scheduled a meeting with the Knicks, according to SNY, but opted for Indiana’s money just after the free agency moratorium began. Brown and the Pacers agreed to a two-year, $45 million, according to ESPN, which the Knicks had no hope of matching. It’s going to be wet, warm and humid on the Fourth of July, “less than ideal” weather for what is typically an outdoor holiday, one meteorologist said.“There’s going to be some times where you can barbecue outside, but it’s definitely not ideal,” Andrew Loconto, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, told the Herald. The best bet for outdoor activity this holiday weekend is Saturday, when there will be less cloud coverage and drier temperatures in the mid-80s, Loconto said. After that, things get a bit dicey, with a wet and humid stretch of days from Sunday to Tuesday.Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s on Sunday, and in the upper 80s on Monday and Tuesday with nighttime lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.The most rain will be seen from late Sunday into Monday, with a bit drier weather on the holiday itself, on Tuesday, Loconto said.“There’ll be several periods of rain, but there will also be times where it’s drier overall, too,” Loconto said of Independence D...Up next for Chicago White Sox in July? The Chicago White Sox continued to learn throughout June that good pitching only goes so far. They ranked fourth in the majors with a 3.39 ERA in June entering Friday. But offensively, they were 26th with a .226 batting average. That contributed to a 13-12 June record ahead of the final game of the month against the Athletics at Oakland Coliseum. The Sox offense came to life in the final two games against the Los Angeles Angels, scoring a combined 20 runs in victories Wednesday (11-5) and Thursday (9-7). That compares to 32 runs in their previous 11 games. The Sox still have a long way to climb out of their disastrous 7-21 start. At 36-47, they are 4 1/2 games out of first place in the underperforming American League Central.“Obviously we are not where we want to be,” Sox starter Dylan Cease said after Monday’s 2-1 loss at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. “We haven’t won as many as we would have liked to. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Apple became the first publicly traded company to close a trading day with a $3 trillion market value, marking another milestone for a technology juggernaut that has reshaped society with a line-up of products that churn out eye-popping profits.Apple shares closed up 2.3% at $193.97 Friday, bringing its market value to $3.04 trillion.
