Some residents in a Costa Mesa apartment complex woke up last week to find swastikas spray painted on their vehicles. Police said the incident occurred at the Ava Apartment complex along Santa Ana Avenue and that vandals spray painted the cars sometime between 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday. “No, this isn’t 1939 Germany but Costa Mesa, CA. 2023,” the non-partisan U.S. based organization Stop AntiSemitism tweeted about the incident. On Saturday, the Costa Mesa Police Department said that it was aware of the photo circulating on social media of the swastika spray painted on a silver Mercedes Benz. The Long Beach Police Department has located a missing 11-year-old boy and reunited him with his family, authorities announced Sunday evening. According to LBPD, Antoine Wright had last been seen on Saturday at 7 p.m. near his residence in the 5500 block of Ackerfield Avenue. (KRON) -- A 15-year-old Berkeley teen is swimming her way into the history books. Maya Merhige became the youngest person to swim the 21-mile Catalina Channel and previously conquered the Lake Tahoe Triple Crown last year. This accomplished teen swims to raise awareness for pediatric cancer research. She joins KRON4 Anchor Stephanie Lin to share more. BALTIMORE (AP) — Adam Frazier hit a three-run homer as part of a seven-run first inning for Baltimore, and the Orioles went on to a 9-3 victory over the New York Yankees on Sunday night.The Orioles led 6-0 before they even made an out against Luis Severino (2-5), and they took two of three in the weekend series. DENVER (KDVR) -- Alpine Rescue Team is reminding hikers to be prepared after a busy weekend of calls. The rescue team received four calls on Saturday alone for injured individuals in the mountains at Hermans Gulf, Saint Mary's and Kingston Peak. (CNN) — As the planet’s hottest month on record comes to a close, 70 million people are under heat alerts in the US, where areas in the southern plains and Southeast could see record-setting highs of 115 degrees or more.While the Northeast and mid-Atlantic will get some relief Sunday, heat advisories and excessive heat warnings are widespread across more than 10 states, from Texas to Florida, according to the National Weather Service.
