Dear Amy: My husband and I work full-time jobs and are fortunate to have weekly childcare for our children (ages 9 and 13) through our parents, all of whom live nearby. However, we recently learned that “Grandma A” has been doing things we have explicitly asked her not to do.For example, we don’t allow our children to be on social media and Grandma A helped our older child create an account to use at her house. We have also asked Grandma A to limit junk foods, but she gives them unlimited amounts (in addition to our children being at risk for being overweight, they then also don’t have an appetite for the dinners I make on the days they go to her house). I’ve also explained to Grandma A why we have these rules (including that these are recommendations from our pediatrician), but she continues to ignore them.I’d like to limit visits to her house to only once a week and have the other grandparents cover the rest of the week (they would be happy to), but my husband thinks it’s unfair an...Ukraine and Poland leaders jointly mark WWII massacres that strained ties

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union’s parliament on Wednesday approved a major plan to protect nature and fight climate change in a cliffhanger vote.In a test of the EU’s global climate credentials, the legislature supported the general outlines of a European Commission plan in a razor-thin 324-312 vote with 12 abstentions. The bill is a key part of the EU’s vaunted European Green Deal that seeks to establish the world’s most ambitious climate and biodiversity targets and make the bloc the global point of reference on all climate issues. The plans proposed by the European Commission, the EU’s executive branch, set binding restoration targets for specific habitats and species, with the aim by 2030 to cover at least 20% of the region’s land and sea areas. After weeks of intense haggling and despite the staunch opposition of the legislature’s biggest group, the European People’s Party, the plan survived in the highly anticipated vote at the European Parliament in Strasbo...Live Updates | Russia warns of ‘potentially very dangerous’ G7 security guarantees for Ukraine
