Late-Week Storms, Nice Weekend
Published Tue, 03 Dec 2024 18:02:10 GMT
More clouds than sun kick off this Thursday morning as temps and dew points run in the 60s, making it feel very similar to what we had stepping out the door yesterday morning. Clouds will occasionally break for some sun today, allowing for a bit better of an afternoon, although it’ll run cooler than average once again. Humidity increases through the day as highs run in the mid 70s. Humidity continues to increase this evening as some scattered showers and storms develop overnight. We’ll track scattered showers and storms tomorrow too as a cold front plows toward the region. With high humidity in place and strong winds aloft, a few of the storms tomorrow could be strong to severe with strong wind gusts and downpours. While the risk is low, it’s not zero, that an isolated brief tornado could spin up as some storms may exhibit rotation. Something to keep an eye on. Once the storms clear late Friday afternoon, the humidity drops off and we dry out for the weekend. Satur...Former Brazilian military police officer charged with multiple murders arrested in Rye, NH

Wrapped in District Green Metallic, the Audi Q5 is a very nice overall vehicle. Appealing to the consumer eye and priced right for the moderate buyer, the Audi Q5 is very practical. While riding higher in the Q5 SUV, Audi does a great job of ensuring the vehicle rides smoothly similar to that of a sedan, but for other Q-series SUV’s that is not necessarily the case as more sporty models tend to be stiffer. But for the Q5, a well-versed mid-size SUV with good sight lines and a smooth ride, is perfect for many consumers in today’s market. As Volkswagen, the parent company to Audi, develops similar sized SUVs in their fleet, we recognize some large differences amongst the brands. With 261 horsepower our Q5 S-line came with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine and 273 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 7-speed transmission, the 2023 Audi D5 S-Line was quiet with limited road noise and peppy at just the step of the pedal. While a typical Audi interior was present, our S-Line came with a P...Battenfeld: Televising Trump’s trial will be the Super Bowl of politics

Democrats and Georgia prosecutors will try to humiliate Donald Trump in a televised courtroom appearance and trial, but the tactic could backfire if the former president succeeds in putting the politically-tainted judicial system on trial.Trump’s first appearance in court to face his charges, which will come sometime before Aug. 25, could be the Super Bowl of politics, drawing hundreds of millions of viewers around the world. It will be the first time live cameras have been permitted in Trump’s long legal saga.Prosecutors and the judge want the optic of treating Trump like any other criminal, complete with mug shots and showing up at the jailhouse. There are obvious disadvantages to Trump fighting his case live on TV.Every minute he has to spend in court is a minute he can’t be out there campaigning.Every dollar he spends defending himself, will be money he can’t spend on the campaign.Whether they stop him running for president they’ve already tried tying his hands behind his back and...Patriots extra points: Robert Kraft denied Hall of Fame entry again, when will he get in?
